I actually did pretty well, set records left and right and was always ranked above average and near the top of my team. Unlike Darkfall’s melee combat, albeit not perfect it’s pretty well done. Timing does matter as does knowing the range and speed and damage of weapons also the right timing of movement. However the only thing Darkfall is good at – ranged combat isn’t that well done. And of course there’s no grind in AoC, instant action.

You know when I think hmm log into Darkfall and watch bars fill up so some artificial number increases which would allow me to maybe craft better gear in a few days only to lose it to some asshole or log into Age of Chivalry for some quick PvP action, I think I’ll pick AoC at least until I get bored with it. I would’ve loved that the multi player gameplay of Dark Messiah of Might and Magic was anything like the single player experience that would’ve made a great game, but well it isn’t.

Then I skimmed the DF forums and most I’ve seen were some people bitching and alot of trolling, many “my epeen > your epeen” altough even that wasn’t the topic and many fanbois defending their sorry excuse of a game while insulting those criticising. If there’s a post containing “carebear” and “QQ” you know you can skip it as it’s worthless trolling. “QQ” btw is as “carebear” as it gets having its root in asian culture. It got widespread with WoW a game that is the definition of “carebear” and played by mostly utter retards. So if you’re using the terms “carebear” and “QQ” in the same post to insult anyone and show off your epeen you’re making yourself look retarded but on the other hand, you really are so it doesn’t matter, right.

Apparently the guildmaster of the last guild I was in is playing this game with his uh wife? He rolled a homo elf err Mirdain. Well his brother is also now playing since 2 days ago and another vet from this guild might also start playing soon. I might play this game for longer periods after all. I thought about rerolling but nah too much time invested already and I got accustomed to the dead surroundings. Still I might not play as often as they do, seeing that they already have armorsmithing and bowyer at 100. However if I see them they’ll die at least once for not telling me they were playing, I’ve got feelings too you know and that’s no way to treat a friend! But then again everyone is selfcentered nowadays so howl with the wolves or be eaten.

I like orcs, should’ve rolled one. I chose Alfar because they had no allied races = less opportunites to lose alignment. Well I was killed by an orc today. Stupid me was trying to run from a mage. An orc in bone armor and I run away, dumbass. Of course he was a mage what was I thinking. He was a nice guy tho. Let me pick up my stuff and we had a nice chat. My mood actually improved after the kill. Why? Because a) I wasn’t killed by someone that’s supposed to be my friend, a fellow Alfar, but an enemy and a nice one at that. Also I was fully prepared to die and got crap on me anyway nothing that wasn’t replaceable. That and does it matter? I just go kill some goblins to gear up and start fresh training sword or axe skills get some food from the bank and here we go. And if I want super easy mode where I don’t need food I just go and kill goblin scouts. Once you have enough shit stocked it really doesn’t matter if you get killed once or even a few times + you can go back to harvesting and watching a movie if you really don’t feel like playing.

I logged in yesterday after a long while because I was in a bad mood and Darkfall is good for one thing – venting. If you’re in a bad mood play Darkfall it’s perfect for that. Anyway I thought they were so hard on macroers? Yesterday I saw an afk swimmer in Bel Melek (or whatever) since I used to attack Su Cubbus naked in town I was naked anyway and thought I’d push him on land and lo and behold it worked. Guess he was pissed when he came back. He had a greek name, double standards? Btw towers in newbie towns do ~30HP per hit, towers in advanced newbie towns do ~50hp per hit.

Oh also while I was out there doing some naked exploration I found a raft. I thought there was someone near it but it was just floating there, so I unsummoned it and took it with me.

Here’s something interesting. I was reading a forum post a while back where someone got suspended for 3 days for apparently exploiting the AI. As far as I remember he used a technique called perching.

Now I’m also reading the forum and noticed the thread “Fix your game scrubs“. The thread was closed. To sum it up, he was helping someone who pulled a mob into water which made the mob stop moving but still being able to attack and he got a ban for healing the other player doing that. I was immediately thinking about World of Warcraft and the Booty Bay PvP and when Blizzard declared fighting on rooftops illegal and threatening with bans. I think that was one of the key moments when I decided that I’m not going to be playing WoW for long. It’s the same situation. Players doing something they have fun with but instead of improving the particular matter they ban people.

If you read further in that thread you’ll probably also read:
When this was pointed out to customer service, they basically said, “we don’t care if you argue with us we will extend your ban”

Can you be more arrogant and ignorant? Bad game and bad staff. I regret ever giving them just 1 cent of my money. They won’t last long if they continue on this road.
